1st Class Auto Glass has been a leading auto glass shop serving Tippecanoe, Benton, Montgomery, and surrounding Indiana counties since 2021. With over 15 years of experience in the industry, Albert and Tracy Scott started their business out of a passion for serving their community. Shortly after opening, 1st Class Auto Glass has become a leading auto glass repair shop in the Lafayette in area.

Is auto glass repair/replacement covered by insurance?

Many insurance policies cover auto glass repair or replacement. We accept all insurance and can help you file your claim. We warranty the craftsmanship for the lifetime of you owning your vehicle.

How do I know if my windshield needs to be repaired or replaced?

If the chip in your windshield is smaller than a quarter, it can usually be repaired. Larger or more complex damage typically requires replacement. All in all, we recommend calling the shop, so we can provide a professional assessment and recommendation.

How long does it take to repair/replace a windshield, and how soon can I schedule an appointment?

Windshield repairs typically take about 30 minutes or less. Windshield replacements typically take up to two hours. However, if you have ADAS features, the time may range from 4-6 hours. We also recommend that you do not drive the vehicle for at least an hour and a half to two hours after installation to allow the adhesive to set properly. All in all, we recommend calling the shop for your accurate timeline. We typically can schedule your appointment for a next day install.

Do you use OEM glass for replacements?

We offer both OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and aftermarket glass for replacements, depending on your preference and budget.

Do you offer mobile auto glass services?

Yes, we provide mobile auto glass services for your convenience. We can come to your home or workplace to repair or replace your vehicle's glass, weather permitting. Please note, there is a trip charge added to your total to all areas outside of Lafayette.
